We at CAH had hoped to organize a team to walk in one of the upcoming Light the Night walks to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Foundation Beyond Belief, a secular charity, is organizing local teams across the country with the goal of raising at least one million U.S. dollars for the fight against blood cancers. My teenage nephew is fighting leukemia, so this cause is personal to me. Read more about Light the Night »

The Concord Area Humanists got started early in 2009. Several friends who are members of the Unitarian Universalist First Parish in Concord advertised their intent to start the group and, on a snowy Thursday, January 8th, 46 people attended the "Founding Meeting".
