And you cannot prove a religion is false. But you could prove evolution was false, and if you did, the theory of evolution would, *ahem* 'evolve' to take your discovery into account.
But also, "What's the solution? Encourage more rationalists to give money to organizations that counter the repressive, Fundamentalist organizations and do so myself."
It has occurred to me that there is another vein of evidence showing that altruism and even empathy is a natural cause and not due to supernatural forces.
I was on the local Board of Directors and also the International Audit Committee of the Nonviolent Peaceforce. They had a tag line that said, "What to say 'Yes' to when you say 'No' to war".
