Humanist Creation Story

At our CAH event on December 5, the "Humanist Creation Story" was presented.  It tells the story from the Big Bang to our Concord Area Humanists.  It was so well received that we would like to share it with others.  So, the slides used for the talk are attached as a 19-page PDF file.  Please feel free to share it with others (maybe a Christmas present?). A Brief History of Concord Area Humanists (CAH)

Greetings!  Two weeks ago, CAH had its last event of the season.  We will pick up again on October 3, in Parish Hall, 7 pm, when David Ropeik will present “Cognitive Limits on Human Reason”.  This was scheduled for February, but was postponed because of heavy snow. We hope the October weather will be better.  Do enjoy the intervening Summer and come back eager for the new series we are planning for the Fall, starting with David. Recently a friend alerted me to a reference that helps n global warming. I highly recommend the on-line reference: Skeptical Science; Read more about Skeptical Science »

A few weeks ago, Dr Ellen Moyer came to our CAH group and gave us an excellent talk based on her book: “Our Earth, Our Species, Our Selves: How to Thrive While Creating a Sustainable World”.  I purchased a copy, and have since enjoyed reading it.  I was inspired by this book, in which she described so many relevant topics.  Each topic was thoroughly referenced.
